3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.
There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.
Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.
Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving…

Improving Your Conversion Reduces the Need to Constantly Promote Your Sites

I just got off the phone with Michael Fortin, one of the top copywriters and conversion experts on the web.

We were doing a seminar for our members on conversion and testing for website owners wanting more out of the traffic they already enjoy, rather than constantly having to promote their sites to support low conversion rates. Specifically, we were talking about all the things you can do to test different “calls to action.”

A call to action is anything you are trying to get people to do on any particular site or page of a site. It could be buying a product or service, getting people on an announcement list or newsletter, or getting people to click on your advertising links.

Most web publishers are so happy when they finally have a site up that they consider their work done and get right to marketing it. Once the traffic rolls in, they enjoy whatever sales or clicks they get and try to make more money by driving MORE traffic to the site.

Then they start building another site. And another. And another.

This is a disturbing trend that is creating a massive amount of waste. Both in resources and time. Especially when it comes to niche publishers who are building massive networks of sites on different topics in order to capture emails, generate advertising revenue, sell affiliated products and services, or to build their lists to generate backend sales to their subscribers.

The waste is generated when people are in too big a hurry to build more sites, add more products, and get more traffic to sites that can convert sometimes 1000% BETTER than they do now.

They are moving at a hectic pace, in this scenario, to build, when their income goals can most often easily be met without so much waste.

One example of waste is when someone builds a content-dry site that has nothing but Adsense and some links on it. People hit that kind of site and can’t wait to find a reason to leave. The thinking is, “Great! My ‘click thru ratio’ is sky high! I am getting almost everyone to click on my ads!”

But here’s what’s happening in reality: you are working VERY hard to get traffic to such a site, only to “burn” it on a 35 cent click! No email capture, no follow-up, and most importantly no desire on the part of the visitor to EVER see your site again!

Would you rather have someone come through your site and click immediately on an advertiser’s link, never to return? Or would you rather have someone come to your site, read some great content, sign up for your list and not click on ANY links that first time?

I will take scenario #2 any day of the week. And I won’t have made a single penny off of that person with that initial action. But I will in the future!

If you have a site that you constantly test and tweak for performance (beyond its ability to repulse your visitors into clicking on an advertisement just to get to a QUALITY site) then you have a real business.

You can test and track SO MANY variables to make a site more profitable than it is now. Every site on the web can perform better than it does right now. Every single one!

The people who understand this never stop testing their calls to action to get their visitors to do more than something that results in a one-time action.

Traffic is the most expensive thing on the web both in the time it takes to get it and the resources you have to use up for each and every hit.

The traffic you have now might be all the traffic you EVER need on a daily basis to make a killing with your site. You will never know until you test and track everything about your site.

The headlines, the offers, the opt-in forms, the guarantees, testimonials, bullets, Adsense placement, follow-up… In short, every webmaster on the net has a lot of work to do on every site they own if they really want to reap the kinds of profits their sites are actually capable of pulling in.

Most people get a site up and are happy with the sales or clicks they get and move on. NO! You are leaving so much money on the table thinking you are done with a site right after you put it up.

That site is the worst it should ever be! Wasting another domain fee, hosting fee, bandwidth and the costs associated with getting traffic to a brand new site before you have optimized your current site for the very best conversion it can pull is NOT good business practice.

I know people who have literally thousands of domains. And one thing I can guarantee you is this: They are making a pittance, even if they are making $60,000 a DAY, in comparison to what they COULD be making with far fewer sites and more testing and tweaking of that smaller group!

And Fortin seems to agree. He is going to be at my seminar in New Orleans September 9th - 11th, 2005 to expose everyone who attends to just how much money they have left on the table over the years because they have never tested different aspects of their calls to action.

It is enlightening, as well as depressing to find out how much money you COULD have made all this time had you tested from the beginning!

But the point is, you cannot go back to get all those lost subscribers, sales, or clicks. You can only start testing today to capture more money from each site you own. Thereby alleviating the need to have a massive network of sites all performing at half their potential or much less!

Web Design Facts

Fact 1: We can’t deny the fact that when browsers enter a site, they look for something that is relevant to their needs. If they ended in a particular site through advertisements, then they would expect to see something related to that ad.

Fact 2: On the other hand, when a search engine scans a site’s contents, it looks for contents which are useful enough for other sites to reference. It expects to locate a content that is consistent with the keywords.

Fact 3: Moreover, visitors who go to a shopping cart would expect to find photos with high quality, a variety of applicable views and lastly, a concise and clear description and costs. They also expect that the cart should work in all types of browsers.

But sad to say, some viewers do not find what they need in a website or sometimes they have a hard time going around the site. The following things should make you aware on the things why web sites fail.

One fact that web designers must know is that people wouldn’t enter your site unless they know their way around it.

Due to this concern, web designers must take into consideration that they need to conceptualize user friendly and easy to understand websites. For most customers or viewers, very extravagant design won’t matter as long as they don’t get lost in your site.

Your competitors are just a click away

When designing your web site, think very carefully on things that could give you a plus over your competitors. Think of the things that you can offer your customers in order for them to stay on your site and choose you above all else.

People hate slow websites

Designers must understand that searchers can be very impatient when surfing through sites in the Internet. Therefore, designers must find a way to minimize the slowness of websites and at the same time offer viewers with quality contents.

Searchers look for relevant information

Dr. Jim Jansen of Penn State’s School of Information Sciences and Technology said, “A web site has to be relevant to a searchers needs. Otherwise, by the time three minutes have elapsed, 40 percent of searchers will have moved on. While some may have found what they wanted, others may simply have given up and move to a different site.” When designing web pages, designers can’t help but become graphic artists with the aim to make your site look great but sometimes lacking in information. Therefore, remember that while it is important to make your site attractive, it is equally important to place in your site the information that visitors need.

Sites should have clear abstracts

The first thing that appears on the result page as an answer to a search engine query is the site’s abstract. The abstract explains everything about your site. According to a study done by Penn State, more users or searchers can be drawn to a site with the use of an abstract. That is if the abstract is informative enough and gives relevant and enticing information about the site. Dr. Jim Jansen said, “For site developers, if you want to be looked at, it is absolutely critical that the abstract be crystal clear about the purpose of your Web site.”

Start Up Website Design

Setting up a website for the first time is an extremely thrilling step to take. It is a signal that you are determined to make your business a success. After all, the Internet is a very global community, not so, and YOUR website will be exposed to this community from the day that it goes live.

Before your website can become a well-oiled marketing machine you will need to invest time, or money, or both, into it.

The following aspects are all costs that go into setting up and running of a business website:

1. Direct cost of creating the website. Whether you do it yourself, or whether you pay for it, you have to remember that your time is also worth money.

2. Direct cost of marketing your website. Your website will NOT just start generating traffic all on its own. You are going to have to first spend money on promoting your website before you are going to see any return on investment. Setting up a new website with no promotion behind it is like setting up a shop in a dark alley with no advertising. There will be no feet visiting that shop! You need to get your website out of its dark alley and into the light and that will cost money!
Even if you do the majority of this work yourself, you once again have to consider the fact that your time is worth money, and you should think carefully whether you want to invest your time in this activity, or rather spend it on other aspects of your business.

3. Indirect or direct costs of updating your website with new content. It is absolutely essential to update your website with new and regular content. At the minimum you will have to update new contact information, prices and special offers. But it is far better to update your site with additional information about your company and industry to capture more visitors who might be looking for the very information that you are providing. A site filled with lots of information about your industry also establishes you as the expert in the field and builds trust in your visitors and potential customers.

So how much SHOULD you spend on your website? If you are a start-up business, it is a very appealing thought to spend as little as possible on your site, since you probably do not have lots of cash to throw around.

That is understandable, but be careful of being penny-wise and pound-foolish. A badly designed website can be very detrimental to the image of your company, and if the technology choices that you might inadvertently tie yourself into due to opting for a low cost, or cheap option, are the wrong choices, you will probably find it quite expensive to extricate yourself from these design decisions.

What do we mean by this?
I have often seen websites that have obviously been done ‘on the cheap’.

The detrimental effects of this are often that:

1. The website quality overall is low, with poorly designed graphics, layout and functionality. This gives a bad impression of your company.

2. Often, green web designers design the site using frames or use javascript for navigation. This makes the site inaccessible for search engines, thereby rendering the site completely useless from a search engine traffic perspective.

Websites can be very costly (quality takes time, and time equals money, it is as simple as that), so if you are just starting out with your first website and your company is cash strapped, by all means try and go for a lower cost option, but educate yourself first of all the options, and if you can, go for the best value website that your money can buy – it will save you in the long term.

How to Double, Triple, or Quadruple Your Informational Product’s for More Profits

In this digital age, you have been told that the money is in the information. People surf the internet for information. So you want a piece of the pie and decided to create your own money making ebook. You spend days creating your product for a hot niche and with a convincing sales letter, you are ready to start selling your product. However, before you try to sell a single copy, ask yourself this question: “Have you optimize your ebook for maximum profits?”

Optimizing your information product doesn’t just mean fancy design, quality content, a great sales page and eye-catching graphics. It means actually going back into the ebook and properly outfitting it with information and links that will earn you money at the back end. Here are some ways to optimize your product.

(1) Are you linking to another product you are offering within the ebook? If not, why not? Your readers, if they like the material, are going to be pre-sold on buying from you again. Give them an opportunity to make that purchase easy.

Provide the link to other sales pages in which you have an interest. Use your great ebook to sell your other great products. If you don’t have a complimentary product of your own, become an affiliate of a few nice matches and provide the links to your sites for those sales. A successful ebook can easily produce a nice cache of affiliate sales if you have tapped into the right products.

(2) Use your ebook for list building. If your sales process doesn’t involve getting your buyers on your mailing list, change that. Offer another chance via a link within the ebook. If you can get a list of prospective future buyers, that is money in the bank.
The trick, of course, is to find a way to do all of this without compromising the quality of the ebook. You don’t want to transform a great informational source into an affiliate catalog. This is a turn off to your buyers.

Instead, you will need to find a way to seamlessly integrate additional offers and opportunities within it in a way that does not appear to be a mere sales ploy. That takes style, effort, and talent–combined with a certain level of sincerity.

Countless internet marketers will tell you they have sold ebooks that didn’t initially produce the kind of numbers for which they had hoped that produced very successful results on the back-end. As you prepare to launch your new informational product, be sure to outfit it with back-end opportunities that can multiply its value.

In conclusion, selling your ebook is fine, but that is a one-shot deal. By offering an opportunity to produce additional sales, you make it a long-term earner! The money is in information, but a lot of that money doesn’t come immediately. You need to optimize your informational products to maximize the income you deserve.

eBook Power of Electronic Books

There was a time that in order to get a product known, people would distribute flyers to those walking on the street. The trick was to stay in populated places like the subway or in the park so these individuals will be able to get a copy, read it and then all to make an inquiry.

This is just one way to advertise. The other is to put up ads on billboards, television and the radio but for those who do not have enough money, there is another option. This is done by using the power of the Internet and then passing on electronic books to potential customers.

An electronic book or e-book is simply a file that contains information with texts and graphics. Anyone can make one and the person gets paid when users decide to download the material.

Research shows that it is much a lot cheaper than buying a hard copy of a novel because the customer does not have to pay for shipping and handling. It is possible to find it by browsing through a search engine and then saving this in the computer’s hard drive.

If people are willing to buy books, it is possible to get these same individuals to buy an idea or an product. Here are some things that the entrepreneur should consider before introducing it into the market.

1. First, the person should have strong knowledge about the topic. Those who want to sell health products should have a medical background. No one will buy an item that is being endorsed by someone who is not a specialty in that field.

2. The next thing to do will be to organize one’s thoughts in how to go about it. There will always be an introduction, the main body and the conclusion. All this information must be collected and reviewed so the reader will be able to understand what this is all about.

3. When finished, this should be proofread by a friend. There will surely be some errors or another way to convey the message.

4. The person will then create a .PDF file. Those who have a website already can add this to what is already there while those who do not will have to make contact with some websites who are willing to help for a certain price.

It will not be long before those who like what it is written will purchase the products being offered. The entrepreneur should be sure that these goods are always of good quality and delivered on time.

It is best to put a subscription box so subscribers can be updated on newer material and also forward this to the public.

Some experts believe that people are only at the tip of the iceberg in maximizing the e-book power of the electronic book. We already know it can keep people informed and make entrepreneurs earn a ton of money. The individual will have to decide whether to offer the reprint rights or sell it altogether at a higher price.

Anyone can create an e-book. Those who love to write should have the ability to turn those ideas into words and then the rest will just follow. If the first one was not that successful, those who have learned the mistakes of the past can do better in the future.

How to Profit in the ebook Info Product Business

One of the fastest and easiest ways to make a living online is to go into the info products business.Don’t listen to those gurus who say time and time again that the market is saturated. And, that the internet just can’t handle another info product entrepreneur (info preneuer). Guess what? They’re wrong!

Why would I say this?

The reason that people are on the internet in the first place is because they are hungry for information. Everyone wants information! Finding niche markets for info products can be an absolute killer if you don’t know where to look. Whilst publishing niche ebooks is a proven business that can make you a lot of money, finding niches to exploit can be both time consuming and disheartening if you struggle to find any good markets.

On the internet, there is a lot of money that can be made by selling information to people. The way to do this is through ebooks. An ebook is nothing more than a book in a digital format. Sure, it can have pictures - but so can a real book.

The important part of having an ebook as opposed to a hard copy book is that the ebook can save the reader even more time than the hard book. This is because the ebook can incorporate audio, video, and hyperlinks to additional, pertinent information.

Thankfully there’s hope.In this article I’m going to show you a simple strategy you can use for finding as many niche markets to sell ebooks to as you could want.

http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/

This is an amazing resource that won’t cost you a penny to sign up to.Go to the above site and start typing in niche markets that interest you.If you had an interest in fishing you’d type in “fishing”. Then all you need to do is make a list of all of the sub niches within the general niche market of fishing. These are all potential niches for you to exploit.

These same people are more than willing to pay money for the information. After all, they routinely purchase magazines, newspapers, and print books, right? On the internet, they’re even more willing to part with a few dollars if it will save them time or solve a problem for them. The secret is to make sure that the information that you provide either saves them time or benefits them in some other, emotional way.

www.amazon.com

The bookselling giants amazon.com are an amazing resource for finding niche markets you’d never have thought about entering. Go the web site and in the search bar select “books”. Then type in a niche you’d like to create a product around. For example type in “golf”. Go through the results and start jotting down all of the niche markets that jump out at you.

When many people hear this technique they immediately think “wait a sec how can I compete with Amazon?”. You won’t be of course you’ll be catering for a different market. When people buy from Amazon they have to wait days for a book to arrive. As ebook publishers we can offer instant gratification as our customers get our info products straight away as a download.

Another great thing about downloadable info products is bizarrely they are seen to have a higher perceived value. You might be able to charge fifteen dollars for a book selling it via Amazon. However if you sell a downloadable info product you can charge up to fifty dollars. Crazy but true.

www.dummies.com

This is another fantastic research tool for the niche ebook publisher. You can find a ton of niche topics across all of the “…For Dummies” books. The Dummies company has made creating niche products an art form in its own right. Search through their titles in general niches that interest you and jot down potential ebook topics.

Article directories are, in my eyes, the best way to find subjects to create ebooks around. There are lots of directories in which you can go to and just type in a niche subject in the search bar and get literally thousands and thousands of ebook ideas.

The key here when visiting these sites is to just make a huge list of potential topics, and then when you’re done go to http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ and type in your topics. If there people searching for information on the subject (at least five thousand a month) you’ve just found an ebook topic that could turn into a very lucrative home based business.

I want to quickly dispell a myth about the internet. Don’t for one second think you can just throw up a site, sit back and become rich. Many would have you believe the internet is just one huge get rich quick scheme. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Done properly ebook publishing can change your financial situation dramatically.

We’re not aiming to become a millionaire here. We want to build a network of mini sites that each make about 1K a month. Being able to come up with an endless amount of niche product ideas is the key here, then all you need to do is create the product.

I know what you’re thinking. “All you need to do” is create a product. They’re hard to create right? Well no actually you don’t need to write a single sentence of your ebook. You can hire people to do so at elance.com. For around five hundred to seven hundred bucks freelance writers will create the entire book for you.

You are an internet marketer, not a writer. Have one product created, set up pay per click campaigns, write a press release and blast a few articles over the net on the topic of your ebook. Then have another one created, do the same, and just rinse and repeat.

Multiple streams of autopilot income is the secret of wealthy entrepreneurs from around the globe. Now thanks to ebooks and the internet, anyone can set up streams of income that sends money into their bank account even whilst they sleep.

Most of the internet “gurus” have made their money by selling information online,in one format or another. Now it’s your turn to take a share of the internet profit pie.You can do this by creating your own information product(ebook).

7 Easy Steps to Your Very First Profitable Ebook

If you want to build your own internet business instead of someone else’s, you need to have your own product. Period. Informational products, whether they are in written form, audio or video, are very popular as they are easy to create without high cost. Ebooks are the easiest to create. For someone who are new to writing, the whole process of creating an ebook can be daunting. Contrary to popular belief, the hardest part of writing an ebook is actually sit down and start to write.

From my personal experience, I think the first chapter of an ebook is the most difficult. I have done the research and reading up on my topic, but the thought of actually writing it is intimidating. What happened next, I let procrastination takes over, wasting precious time instead of writing. Does this happen to you? I bet it happens to most new writers. What we should avoid is thinking of the end product of producing a book. The thought of completing the whole ebook seems like an impossible task. That’s why you have to break it down into smaller manageable tasks. Here’s a simple 7-step procedure to start writing your ebook and finish it!

Step 1: Niche It

Choose a topic which appeals to you and which you can see yourself spending time researching and writing it in the next couple of days. The trick here is choose a niche. Do not write a book which appeals to everyone. Focus on a specific area and you are on your way to success. Why? Because when you target a niche market, you already have a pre-qualified market ready to buy your products.

Step 2 : Research It

After choosing a specific area of interest as the topic of your ebook, the next step is to spend a reasonable amount of time to research on that topic. How much time, you ask? It really depends on how much you already know about the topic. What is important here is you want to be an expert in your chosen niche. At this stage, it is easy to get lost among the huge bank of information on the internet. So it is very important to get organized. I find this method extremely helpful, that is getting a 3-ring binder with a set of divider tabs. File your research files and notes in the relevant tabs as you go along. When you start writing your book, you won’t have to research everywhere for your notes. This is a great time saver.

Step 3: Table It

Now that you have a good idea of what you are going to write, the next important step is to write a detailed outline of your ebook. This is the single most important step in the whole ebook writing process. To get your ebook well written and finish it on time, you need to spend ome time to think of your ebook outline. The outline serves as the backbone of your ebook. It represents your ideas and flow of houghts. Write the outline as detail as possible.

Step 4: Write It

Ok, finally, we get down to writing the ebook itself. Before you start writing, you have to have a good picture of your readers, the people who are going to read your ebook. Picture your perfect audience for your ebook and write to him/her! Write to your reader, not for your reader. Write as if you are talking to the person. Use the language as you would talking to your friend. Forget about having the proper grammar and linguistic structures for your paragraphs. Just get your thoughts and ideas down! If you are stuck in a particular chapter, move on to the next. Don’t force yourself to write that chapter and slow down the whole writing process. It is easier to come back and try writing that chapter again. You may have new thoughts and ideas which can help you to proceed. An important point to remember here is DO NOT EDIT! Turn off your self-editing machine and just focus on writing.

If you can’t find any, you may want to insert an article on the topic area you have difficulty finding information. This is one way successful writers add more ‘meat’ to their ebook. The other thing to edit is excessive and repetitive words. Remember, simplicity is the key. Forget about jargons and technicalities. Use common and simple language. You won’t want your reader go looking up dictionary while reading your book.

Step 6: Polish It

Now you have done editing your ebook, it is time to polish it. Polishing here means adding extra features to make your ebook presentable. For example, adding additional pages, adding your copyright page, changing your title, adding borders, adding header and footer, adding the table of contents. Take a look at any good ebooks already in the market and learn from them.

Step 7: Publish It

Now finally, you have your completed ebook in front of you. How do you feel? Do you feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment and pride? I know I did. Words just can’t express how I felt. It is worth all the hard work put into it. Now at this stage, you have to make sure you have a great title for your ebook. Great titles sells, not your content. Period.
